There are a lot of questions and myths about recycled polyester. Let us take you through some of the most common questions.

Q1: What is recycled polyester

A: Recycled polyester is made from recycled plastic bottles collected in the landfills of India. The bottles are sterilized and shredded into small plastic chips.

These small chips are then melted into small pellets. Yet again the plastic pellets are melted and made into fibers, which are then spun into yarn and woven or knitted into fabric.

Q2: How does recycling plastic bottles help the environment?

A: Recycling plastic bottles helps reduce the amount of plastic waste that would otherwise end up in landfills or oceans, which has a negative impact on the environment.

Additionally, recycling plastic bottles helps conserve resources such as oil and water that are used to produce new polyester from scratch.

Raw material for new polyester involves coal, petroleum (from crude oil) air and water.

Q3: Why is recycled polyester good for sports clothing?

A: Recycled polyester is a great choice for sports clothing as it is lightweight, breathable and non-absorbent. Recycled polyester is moisture-wicking, which helps keep the athletes cool and dry in physical intense activities.

A high degree of air permeability, also allows air to pass through the fabric and keep the wearer cool and comfortable

Q4: Is recycled polyester durable?

A: Yes, recycled polyester is just as durable as traditional polyester and can be used for a variety of applications including performance clothing, daily wear clothing, furniture and home decor items.

Even better, with recycled polyester we SAVE perfectly durable material from ending up as waste.

The collection is manufactured and certified according to the highest environmental, social and ethical standards in the world. With the Oekto-Tex standard 100 certification we we can show that there are no harmful substances in the fabrics we use.
